The hard drives in slot 1 or slot 2 of the D8 Hybrid frequently lose their partition tables (showing as unallocated space with incorrect capacity), and NVMe hard drive performance intermittently drops severely (down to 40MB/s). How to resolve this?

Applicable Models

D8 Hybrid

  1. Slots 1 and 2 of the D8 Hybrid are managed by the RAID controller. If using a single disk, be sure to set the rear switch to SINGLE mode; otherwise, it may cause recognition issues.
  2. Move the faulty drive from slot 1 or 2 to another working slot for testing. If the fault disappears, the hardware issue is confirmed to be with slot 1 or 2.
  3. When M.2 SSD performance drops abnormally, shut down both the computer and the D8 Hybrid and restart them. This usually restores normal performance. This issue may stem from the device controller; you can try updating the firmware to resolve it.
